    Facelift in West Orange, NJ

Plastic Surgery Center Internationale performs facelifts for residents of West Orange, New Jersey.

    What is a Facelift?

A facelift is one of the most popular types of cosmetic surgery procedures. It is a procedure that an individual would seek when they have stubborn wrinkles and fine lines in the face and sagging muscles like jowls that mar their physical appearance. A facelift can improve on these areas and make the face taut, smoother and provide the person with a more youthful appearance.

    How is a Facelift Performed?

To begin a facelift procedure, the doctor will provide general anesthesia, IV sedation or a heavy oral sedation to the patient to numb the face so there is no pain and only minimal discomfort. There are three types of facelifts which can be done. These are the mini-lift, fat transfer to the face and malar fat pad facelift. The doctor makes an incision around the hairline and manipulates the fat and tissue in the face, as well as repositioning the facial muscles.
